Newcomer Kitchen Social Franchise Model
Newcomer Kitchen HUB
The HUB is the center of our Hub & Spoke Model of Social Franchises. The turnkey program is managed from the HUB with an robust ERP platform that supports all aspects of the social enterprise activities and food training programming. NKC provides the curriculum, online e-education portal, online teaching supports, the agency and teacher training and community assets assessments, kitchen rentals, program branding, financial accounting of economic activity, client job training program and payments, corporate customer leads, program sponsorship leads, program funding grant application support.
Agency Franchises
Agencies that offer settlement services purchase the turnkey program and the support services from the HUB to deliver to their clients. Newcomer women receive both food entrepreneurship training and a job placement employment experience. The program provides paid employment throughout the 3 month program. The agency does not register their own social enterprise but uses the HUB as their 'umbrella' for sales of foods & services and the employment placement.
Newcomer Women Businesses
Women are supported through the registration of their businesses and become part of the NKC Network of Food Businesses. The new businesses are independently owned subsidiaries of NKC and as such share in the benefit from the same ERP business platform, access to customers, supports, bulk purchasing of goods and administrative costs such as insurance and kitchen rentals. Each business develops their own unique style, identity, flavour and offerings but also benefit from the NKC co- branding for quality control and marketing reach.
